Ok Apple, seriously brilliant marketing move. Release the iPad 2 on the first day of SXSW? And set up a pop up shop right in the heart of this early adoptin’-tech lovin’-Steve Jobs adorin’-nerd microcosm? Genius. Forget about a PR campaign- you know these gadget obsessed folks are going to be doing it for them with their obsessive tweeting/blogging/facebooking/foursquaring/…general geeking out.

What do Spiderman: Turn off the Dark and the Apple Newton have in common?
I’m sure the new broadway musical Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark will be pretty spectacular… uh, if it ever gets off the ground. The show ‘is expected to involve more flying and special effects than any Broadway show in history , with actors and dancers swinging over the heads of audience members.’ (from NYT ) But are these 38 stunts too ambitious? Are they really necessary to wow the audience?
So as luck would have it, the day after I decide to take the plunge and start this little blog, my powercord caught on fire.
