I’m quitting my job today.
While I love working in research, and I still find the world of data fascinating, I’ve always had the hankering to do more than just research.
I love to ideate- what can we do with data? How can data impact ideas, especially creative ones? How could a company take an existing product iteration and make it even better? What if, what if, what if?
And I love to write, to express my curiosity.
So tomorrow I’m taking a leap of faith and taking the first step in pursuing my dreams of working in a more creative role. Starting tomorrow, and for the next 6 weeks, I’ll be the new editorial intern at PSFK.
As in, get paid to share my written thoughts with the world. Goosebumps.
I’m starting from scratch. I’ll be making roughly 40% of what I currently make, and I’ll be at the very bottom of the totem-pole. A perfect situation to make sure I take every last chance and make every moment count while I’m interning at PSFK.
My internship is only for 6 weeks. What happens after 6 weeks? The short answer is, I don’t know.
It’s the scariest- but more importantly, the most exciting- thing I’ve ever done in my life. I know if I didn’t take this opportunity and take on a little risk, I’d always wonder, ‘what if?’.
I can’t wait to start this next chapter! Here’s to pursuing your dreams!
